Deji Ishmael

Deji Ishmael has over twenty years’ experience working with clients across the private and public sector to solve business problems. His experience ranges from finance, technology, and energy, to education. He is a recognized authority in helping corporations and the public sector to build cohesive leadership teams, whilst creating highly engaged workforces that can deploy strategic initiatives which deliver planned business outcomes. He is the founder of Afrissance Group, of which Afrissance Consulting is a leading human capacity development company in Africa. He describes himself as a lifelong project management enthusiast and advocate. His credibility and effectiveness as a client-focused consulting expert are based on foundations built through formal education such as the executive master’s program in Coaching and Consulting for Change from HEC/Said Business School, Oxford University as well as certifications in widely used tools (including Insights personality profiling tool), and multiple strategy frameworks (such as the Advantage model from the Table Group) to help his clients achieve their desired business outcomes. He is skilled in applying the PROSCI methodology and ADKAR models to underpin change and transformation journeys. He is a PROSCI Certified Advanced Instructor (PCAI) and an authorized instructor by the Project Management Institute (PMI). He can work with clients to develop and deliver in-house capability programs focused on the twin disciplines of project and change management for both enterprise and government initiatives. He currently sits on a number of purpose driven boards which include the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation PMIEF (pmief.org). Deji is a founding member of the PMI Nigeria Chapter where he was chapter president from 2008 – 2010, he also served as PMI Region mentor for Africa (Region 16) from 2010 to 2013.
